Got a call from 03003032713 earlier today. I picked up but all I heard was silence, then the line just dropped. Don’t know if it’s really from track and trace or some sort of scam. Weird they’d cut off right as I said hello. Either way, I've blocked the number now.

Had a look on gov.uk, press statement from 20 May 2021 says anyone in the UK showing symptoms can now get a coronavirus test. They gave a phone number to call for tests in Northern Ireland. I’m from England but assume this must be legit since it’s on the official site.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be from the Dept of Health and Social Security, saying I’d agreed to take part in more covid research, which I had. She asked me to confirm my postcode, which I did, then asked for my date of birth. That’s when I noticed the number she was using wasn’t the same as the Track and Trace one. So before giving away any more details, I looked it up on your site and felt uneasy about it, so I ended the call. If it’s legit, they really need a better way to reach people. I’m happy to help with research, but these covid scams are everywhere now!

NHS Track and Trace experience. Similar to what others have mentioned, I was contacted following a recent PCR test to see if I'd be willing to participate in some additional research on testing procedures. They requested my date of birth, postcode, and address, which I provided without hesitation. I was informed to expect a set of test kits, including three separate tests, to arrive within approximately 36 hours. However, after a rather anxious wait of four days with no sign of the kits, I started to worry that it might have been some sort of scam. Luckily, the testing kits finally showed up yesterday, a full six days after the initial phone call, and everything appears to be above board. It’s all turned out well in the end, but honestly, Track and Trace could certainly do a better job of providing clearer information.

I got a call from a lady who already knew my PCR test outcome (negative), my full name, date of birth, and postcode. She asked me to verify my house number and street name. She said there’s a new covid test, similar to the PCR but gives results in 20 minutes, and that they’d be sending it to my place in a couple of days as part of a government trial if I wanted in. She told me I could look up the number to prove it was legit and should save it. Apparently, the test would be sent back anonymously so I wouldn’t actually see the results.

The number showed up as NHS Vaccination service. The woman on the phone knew my full name and that I had a recent positive PCR test. She asked me to verify my date of birth and postcode, which I foolishly gave. She said I was selected for a new PCR test, but when she mentioned I wouldn’t get any results, I started getting suspicious. Then she asked for my home address, so I questioned why she didn’t already have it and said I didn’t want to take part anymore. Not totally sure if it was a scam or legit though.

this aint a scam, its legit one of the numbers from test and trace. they also call to ask for volunteers in covid research, they ask for DOB and postcode cause they cant talk about ur medical info (like if u did a test or ur result) without making sure its really u first. i work for 119 btw.

Just got a call from this number and the bloke actually knew my name. He claimed to be from the DHSC and when I asked the reason for the call, he mentioned something about "coronavirus." When I pressed for more details, all he said was "review," which seemed pretty vague. I asked how I could assist, and then he asked for my postcode. I said no, and he suddenly got quite rude, telling me "This is something you want to do," which felt off. I ended the call there.

Some woman rang me saying she was from the nhs, asking if I'd be willing to do another test to help with research on getting results back in 20 minutes. Foolishly, I gave her my name, address, and date of birth so they could send the test. Then she told me not to worry if the test didn’t arrive, as that sometimes happens, which made me a bit uneasy! Obviously, the test never showed up but now I’ve had a letter from the council tax folks saying a new tenant has moved into my place?? That’s totally not true. I figured out this was a scam yesterday and didn’t call back till today. The message mentioned test and trace and gave different choices. I’d had a test at an NHS centre on 5/3/21 before going into hospital on 8/3/21. They said they'd only get in touch if it was positive. I had the operation on Monday and got a call Tuesday. I played along like I was still waiting for surgery and got connected to a bloke who said he only handled mass orders for covid tests! Didn’t get any answers and now I’m stressing I might’ve put the hospital at risk!
