Someone from the Passport Office called me asking about my connection to the person applying. I realised afterwards that I’d accidentally left that part blank on the form.

I got in touch with HM Passport Office about a question I had, and they actually got back to me pretty quickly. Was nice to have a proper response rather than getting lost in the system like usual. They seemed to know what they were talking about and helped clear up my confusion. Overall, impressed with how they handled my enquiry.

This phone number is completely legitimate. Those claiming otherwise are likely misinterpreting it or perhaps not quite grasping the situation.

The number shows up like it’s from the UK, but as soon as you pick up, you realise it’s from abroad.

I've had my fair share of run-ins with these folks, and believe me, it was much the same for me. I shot off a couple of emails, but they all bounced back as though they'd never left my inbox. In response to the situation, I've completely stopped any payments from my bank to them. When I tried to ring the number that contacted me, I was greeted by a recorded message stating it was the passport advice line from Her Majesty! Quite the bizarre turn of events, I must say!

They rang me two times back to back, but didn’t leave any voicemail. I didn’t pick up and just went ahead and blocked the number.

I reckon it must've been the British passport office ringing me, since I’d reported my passport as lost. After I didn’t pick up, I got an email saying they tried to call but I didn’t answer.

We were charged £0.99 for a 14-minute call and £0.67 for a nine-minute chat. Just a heads-up, don't forget to factor in HMRC's VAT on top of that!
