Got a recorded call telling me I was involved in a tax fraud case, but I just hung up right away knowing it was a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening me with arrest over some made-up tax fraud. They tried to scare me into handing over cash on the spot, saying if I paid right away they'd cancel the arrest. Honestly, it’s a classic scam, just to frighten people into paying. Just a heads up - HMRC won’t ring you up demanding payment like that, they’ll always send letters first. Stay alert!
