On the 18th of June 2019, at precisely 10:06, my mobile rang with a call from 03002009155. When I picked up, there was a brief delay before a pre-recorded voice sprang to life, warning me of an alleged Tax Fraud Warrant linked to my name. The message urged me to press 1 immediately, followed by an ominous threat that failure to respond would lead to my arrest. At that moment, the call either disconnected or I chose to hang up-I can’t recall clearly. What I do know is that I definitely didn’t press 1, but I’m fairly certain that having answered the call means I’m off the hook for any potential arrests! πŸ˜† I reckon I ought to get in touch with HMRC to report this nuisance!
