I got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed money and hadn’t paid it. They warned that if I didn’t press 1 right away, I’d have an arrest warrant put out against me. Totally felt like a scam to me.

This sort of scam call can really worry older folks and those who might be a bit more fragile. It's upsetting how these fraudulent calls are targeting vulnerable people and causing them unnecessary anxiety.

I got a call with a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC, saying I had some debt left unpaid. They told me to press 1 right away or they’d send a warrant to arrest me straight away. It sounded proper dodgy to me.
