I received a rather alarming call claiming there’s some tax fraud linked to my name and that I’m on the verge of being arrested. Quite frankly, I suspect it’s all nonsense since I haven’t engaged in any wrongdoing. To be honest, I was left a bit baffled and unsure of how to proceed, but before I could even gather my thoughts, the call cut off.

Upon answering, you're met with a pre-recorded message instructing you to press a button in order to connect with HMRC. If you attempt to call the number back, you find that it’s not in service. Clearly, this is a scam!
