Got a call from 0300 200 8242 with a recorded message claiming it was HMRC about some tax fraud linked to me. They asked me to press 1 to keep going, but I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from what seemed like HMRC, an automated voice said my name and then told me to press 1 to go on. Next thing, i was put through to this call centre in India, a lady there told me they were looking into me for fraud and that i needed a criminal lawyer because i might have to go to court. She said I could either hire a lawyer or pay some kind of fee. Totally felt like a scam to me.
