I received a voicemail from someone with an American accent. It’s obviously a scam! Total con artists, nothing but a bunch of crooks.

I've had a similar experience with a call from the number ‭0300 200 8208‬. They expressed the identical message to me as well. Peculiar, isn't it?

I've got to say, I’m in a bit of a quandary over a call I received recently. It was rather peculiar, featuring a robotic voice claiming that someone was misusing my name for tax evasion - quite absurd! They insisted that if I didn’t press '1' and follow a provided link, I could be facing arrest imminently. As I’m fully aware that I’ve done nothing wrong, and it smacked of a scam posing as HMRC, I opted to hang up, albeit with a bit of unease gnawing at me!

I just received a rather alarming robocall that claimed to be from HMRC, warning me that my identity was being used for tax evasion. They insisted that unless I pressed 1 immediately, I’d be facing arrest! Quite the scare tactic, isn't it? Thought I'd share this in case anyone else gets caught up in such nonsense. - Caller: Allegedly HMRC
