I've had a couple of calls from this number now, and it's clearly a SCAM. They claim that HMRC is on the verge of issuing a warrant for my arrest over some alleged unpaid taxes. I've just had a rather alarming phone call from this number. It was an utterly robotic voice on the other end, claiming to be from HMRC, stating that I was under investigation for some alleged tax fraud due to unpaid dues. They instructed me to press 1 to speak with someone at HMRC, warning that if I chose not to engage, a warrant for my arrest would be forthcoming.
