I received a rather alarming call earlier claiming that I needed to press one to settle a payment, or else I'd face arrest. The woman I spoke to had an accent from India and didn’t bother to ask for any of my personal details, just insisted I owed £478. She threatened me with immediate arrest if I didn’t cough up the cash. It was chaotic on her end-clearly a bustling call centre. When I requested to escalate the matter to a manager due to her unprofessional tone, she abruptly ended the call. Quite the experience, I must say!

I received a rather alarming call from a recorded voice claiming that I had done something illegal with HMRC. They insisted that if I didn’t press ‘1’, I would face an arrest warrant. Of course, I didn’t bite and simply hung up. I can only imagine how distressing this might be for those who aren't as savvy about these kinds of scams. It’s essential to alert everyone about such tricks!
