Just got a call from them earlier, the line kicked off with one of those automatic warnings claiming I was about to be arrested. In a bit of a panic, I pressed 1 but it only gave me their name before cutting out - guess they didn’t actually have any info on me. I reckon they might ring again though. Watch out for these dodgy scammers because they're getting sneaky and even scarier. They tried to convince me there was fraud on my account, but I really doubt it’s true.

If HMRC wanted to get hold of me, they’d already know where I am. They wouldn’t bother sending someone so hopeless like this.

I got an automated call claiming it was from HMRC, threatening me with a warrant for my arrest unless I pressed 1. I immediately ended the call. Should I let the police know about this? The number was 03002008894.

Got a call from someone saying they’re from HMRC. They told me if I didn’t hit 1 to talk to them, I'd get arrested. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

I didn't even pick up my phone, yet I received a subsequent notification that stated there was a warrant out for my arrest. What an utter surprise! The caller ID was 03002007111.

Got a call from some robot saying they were from HMRC, talking about a tax investigation and threatening me with an arrest warrant. Honestly, if HMRC was my boss, I’d feel a bit safer - this didn’t feel right at all! Definitely not my employer, that’s for sure.

Got a robo call earlier claiming I was under investigation for tax fraud and urging me to press some numbers on the phone. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam to nab your bank info. The tax department doesn’t ring folks up; they always send letters through the post if there’s an issue.

Got a call from some automated voice saying there was suspicious activity on my account, sounded like a scam to me.

I received a rather alarming automated call purporting to be from HMRC, insisting that I press 1 immediately or face the grim prospect of an arrest warrant being issued against me. How delightful! The call abruptly ended before I could even respond. Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

I recently received a similar communication, allegedly from the tax authorities. I've also had several calls from someone posing as BT, claiming they would disconnect my phone service. All the messages feature that same ominous deep male voice. It was quite unnerving the first time it happened! :)

Yet again, I've encountered the same situation… I found myself replaying the message several times just to grasp it properly. I can't help but wonder what might have transpired if I'd pressed '1', as they urged. Would I have been sent to some overpriced hotline, where they pocket a slice of the cash? In any case, it’s clearly a con… - the voice on the other end was a mechanical chap.

I've received identical pre-recorded messages from two separate numbers, both purporting to be from HMRC, insisting that there's a tax fraud case against me. It's all rather unbelievable, honestly, especially since they don't even bother to confirm who they're speaking to. The calls came from 0300 200 7111 and 0345 300 3950. The whole thing seems like a rather poor attempt, with a male robotic voice delivering the spiel.
