I received a rather concerning call which struck me as robotic in nature. A chap on the other end, claiming to be from HMRC, stated that a warrant had been issued for my arrest due to alleged unpaid taxes. Given that I'm fully up to date with my tax affairs, I promptly realised this must be a scam and hung up. I’m rather unsettled, though, as this ringing came through to my mobile-how on earth did they manage to get my number? The number displayed was 03002006630.
