Just like quite a few others have said, I got a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC about some fraud investigation. They told me to press 1 to get through. I hung up straight away and never answered again.

Got a call from this number, so I tried ringing it back. It only rang a couple of times then just cut off. Honestly, I’d say it’s best not to pick up or ring them back.

I was chatting with mates on FaceTime when out of nowhere, this "unknown caller ID" popped up. I answered and some bloke started going on about taxes, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this number earlier today, and when I picked up, some bloke with a robotic voice started talking about HMRC and told me to press 1 to claim some tax refund. Seems like one of those dodgy scams to me. Didn’t stick around to listen to any more rubbish so I just ended the call almost straightaway.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I owed tax and they knew about some fraud. Total scam! They threaten to involve the police to scare you. Just stay calm and don’t hand over any personal info. Tell them you'll wait there for the police instead. Don't let them pressure you.
