I had a rather dodgy call from this number at 10:11 on the 20th of June, 2019. It was an automated voice claiming that some fraudulent activity was linked to my name and insisted that I press '1' to chat with an HMRC representative. They went as far as to say that if I didn’t press ‘1’, I would face arrest. Naturally, I hung up. It just seems a bit off to me - I reckon if there were any such issues, they’d send a letter instead of ringing out of the blue.

I got a call from this number at precisely 10:11 on the 20th of June, 2019. It was an automated voice informing me that there was some sort of fraud linked to my name and insisted I press 1 to chat with an HMRC representative. If I didn't hit that button, they ominously warned I'd be facing arrest. Naturally, I hung up in disbelief. Honestly, I find it hard to believe they'd ring me up; I’d have thought any serious matter would be dealt with through a formal letter.
