Like the others have said, it was an automated voice pretending to be from HMRC, saying there was a dodgy claim made on my name and if I didn’t hit 1, I’d be arrested. I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone saying it was the Tax Fraud team and if I didn’t press 1 I’d be arrested. They asked for the first and last digits of my number but then just hung up on me. Definitely sounded like a scam.

Got a call just like the one mentioned earlier, someone pretending to be from HMRC saying I’d get arrested if I didn’t press 1. I just ended the call straight away.

so i got a call from someone claiming to be the tax office saying i was involved in some big fraud case. they said if i didn’t press 1 to speak to an agent, the cops would show up and arrest me. obviously, i didn’t press anything and just told them to jog on. after that, the call just cut off.
