Scam alert! Got a call from this 0300 261 4559 number on my mobile. An automated voice said I was caught up in some HMRC tax fraud case and to press 1 to chat with someone, or I'd be at risk of getting arrested soon. Total scam! Don't fall for it, it's fake.

Got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC and talking about some fraud issue. They asked how they could assist me, so I told them they had the wrong person and asked their name. As soon as I realised what was happening, I just ended the call straight away!

First thing, I got an automated call saying there’s a criminal case against me and a warrant’s out. I hit option 1 to find out more. Right away, they asked for my name and postcode, then claimed I owed £2600 for tax evasion and that a criminal solicitor was involved. They then asked who’s been paying my taxes, I told them I’m unemployed. Next, they asked about taxes from 2011-2014, but I said I only arrived in the UK a year ago. They hung up on me straight away. Definitely a scam - I gave them a bunch of fake details.

This call felt super sketchy, like some kinda scam or fraud attempt. I'm worried there might even be a warrant out for arrest linked to it. Definitely dodgy stuff.

I got a robo call saying I had a warrant for tax evasion and to press 1 if I wanted more info. When I did, some bloke pretending to be from HMRC answered, like he expected me to say 'yes' or something. I told him they were the ones who called me, and then he just cut the call. Definitely a scam, watch out!
