Got a call from HMRC using the number 0300 200 4357, said I'd be arrested if I didn't comply. Definitely a scam trying to scare me.

Got a call from a woman saying HMRC is investigating me for tax fraud. She said I needed to press a button to talk to an officer. Honestly, if something like that were real, I reckon a real person would ring me up and explain it properly.

Never just trust folks on the phone saying they’re from a company or something. If someone rings up asking for money, trying to get you to log into some website, or throwing some crazy deal your way, watch out! It’s best not to hand over any personal info to these callers - they’re usually after your cash or details to scam you.

Just got a call from some so-called HMRC folks claiming there’s a tax fraud issue. Turns out it’s a trick by scammers in India, who try to freak you out and get you to hand over money on the phone. Don’t fall for it, these con artists can really mess up your life. Remember, there’s no warrant for your arrest or anything like that! Total scam!

Got a robocall claiming to be from HMRC, and honestly, it sounded pretty intimidating. They said something like, “Press 1 now or a warrant will be issued and you’ll be arrested soon.” Obviously didn’t even think about pressing anything.

Had some missed calls from this number, so I rang back. A robotic American lady answered saying they were super busy, so I ended the call. Then, they called me again, this time saying it was HMRC and that there's a warrant for my arrest over some fraud! I just cut the call and blocked the number straight away. FYI, HMRC never phones like that!
