Got a call saying I was under investigation for tax fraud. They claimed my tax returns were being looked at, but I’m on PAYE so told them that. The caller kept going though, and then said I owed £2,500 for some investigation fees. When I asked for more info, they just hung up on me. Feels like a dodgy scam to me, going to report it to HMRC for sure.

I got a call saying it was from the ‘tax department’ and that if I didn’t press one, they were gonna send a warrant for my arrest. What a joke!
