Got a call from someone saying they were from the HMRC fraud team, telling me to press one to be put through. Turns out it was a scam, linking you straight to a call centre in Mumbai. I checked with HMRC, and they confirmed it’s a phishing scam going around lately. They said they always contact folks by letter, never by phone. So if you get this, just ignore it and don’t press any buttons!
