Got a call at 8:30 on a Monday morning, just as I was settling down with my newborn baby. The automated voice said there was a fraud case with HMRC connected to me and told me to press one to speak to them. I pressed one and got a quick ring, then an American voice said to wait. After another ring, an Asian lady came on claiming to be from HMRC. I told her straight up I didn’t believe her and that it was wrong to be calling so early, especially with my baby sleeping. She asked if my name was *** and my last name, which was actually my nickname and something no official would use. I said no, which is exactly how I knew it was a scam, then she hung up on me. Total HMRC fraud attempt!

Got a call from this number and they said I'd be arrested if I didn't hit 1. I blocked it straight away and reported it as well.

They claimed I was involved in tax fraud and warned me that if I didn’t reply and hit 1, I’d be arrested. Quite stressful!

So this number 030020036777 called me out the blue saying I got an arrest warrant or something coz I didn’t pay some fine from 2015 or 2016. They told me I had to pay up immediately or else. Totally sounded like a scam to me.

I hit 1, the phone rang, then I got put on hold with music, so I ended the call. Now they're just calling me over and over again.

Got a call early morning around 8:45, some robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying there was a fraud case against me and to press 1 to sort it. I hung up straightaway since anyone who actually worked for them wouldn’t sound like that or call like that, I’ve dealt with investigations before so they definitely chose the wrong person to mess with. It’s really shocking this kind of thing is still happening, and the phone companies should really use a bit of their cash to stop this sort of abuse on their networks.

DONT PRESS 1 if you get this number calling! Its not really HMRC. I rang HMRC from another phone and they told me they would never call and threaten to arrest you. They've been warned about it already. Make sure you tell your mates so they dont fall for it.
