Has anyone else had a call from this number? I just got one, and the person on the line was asking for personal info and even threatened me with court. It's really worrying. How do you block or stop these kinds of calls? Last month I ended up paying an extra £37 on my bill because I received loads of texts from some different number.

Honestly, I'm shaken and can't really put it into words. I was just calling about my benefits yesterday, and suddenly I'm getting threats about fraud, losing thousands of pounds, and even property repossession. Got a call claiming to be from HMRC. They told me to hold on while they transferred me to an agent and warned I’d be arrested soon if I didn’t comply. Definitely felt like a scam, so I just ended the call. After reading what others said, I’m glad I did. Best to stay calm and just ignore these dodgy calls.

Got a call from a scam number, so I blocked not just that but all the ones ending in 2,4,6 and 8. Like someone else pointed out, they dont stop, just dial the next one in line. It’s really pathetic how desperate they are!

Oh yeah, it's clearly a scam call. I got in touch with the local police about it, and they told me to pass the details on to Action Fraud. Honestly though, they said their hands are tied until someone actually falls for it, so mostly they just keep a record of the complaints.

I keep getting calls from what looks like HMRC but it’s clearly dodgy! Every time I block a number, they ring me again using a new one that’s just a tiny bit different. I’m on the TPS list too, so it’s crazy these scammers still keep bothering me. Honestly, it’s so frustrating!!!
