I got a call today from 02022004291 claiming it was an HMRC automated message about some fraud issue. I've come across these sorts of calls before, so I just ended the call straight away. Still, thought it was worth flagging it here.

I got a call from 03002002347 on the 17th of September 2019, it was an automated voice repeating the exact same message.

I got a call from 0300 200 4985 with some recorded voice saying to press 1 to be connected or else I'd be arrested. I didn’t press anything and the call just dropped. Later, my partner got the same call and actually pressed 1. He told them they were a bunch of clowns and kept them on the line for about 10 minutes just messing around. It ended up with them arguing heatedly, but the woman caller kept asking if he was alright. When we pretended to be the police, they got really spooked and stopped chatting. This all happened back on 10th September 2019.

Make sure you email [email protected] about this. They’re shutting down thousands of calls. The more people who complain, the more numbers get blocked. Keep at it!

Just got a call from 03002009068, definitely a scam. They said if you press 1, you avoid going to jail right away. Total rubbish, watch out!

Yesterday at about 3:41pm I got an automated call from 0300 200 2426 with a man’s voice saying there was a warrant for my arrest over Tax Fraud and I had to press 1. I informed HMRC right away. Then today at around 3:05pm I saw a call from 0300 200 6336 but before I could pick up, the caller hung up. I called back just to check and no one answered. Just sharing this in case it helps anyone else. Obviously, I’ve blocked both numbers now.

I got a ring from 03002001427 on 7th June 2019 around 4.12pm, and then just this morning at 10.27 I received another call from 03002003099. Both were pretty much the same.

Got a call earlier today with the same spiel. They kept going on about some fraud trouble and how I’d get fined or even arrested if I didn’t cough up straight away. Complete rubbish.

The number’s switched to 0300 200 4280 now. They’re still doing the same scam - warning about getting arrested if you don’t hit 1. I reckon they’re gonna add some charge to my phone bill because, stupidly, I pressed 1 and got put on hold. After a bit, someone finally answered and asked what I needed. When I said they’d just called me, they just hung up. Looks like they’re after a premium rate fee. Definitely block the number and report it to your phone company and the relevant authorities like the IRS.

Today I got a call from 03002001896 saying they were from HMRC. They told me there was a fraud case using my name and that I'd be arrested if I didn’t press 1. I went ahead and pressed 1, then the call just cut off.

Just got a missed call from this number and decided to check it out here. Honestly, this site is brilliant. After reading what everyone else had to say, I blocked the number without a second thought. It feels like these calls never really stop, which is so frustrating. The HMRC really ought to take more action against this nonsense!

Today, 14th Feb at about 11 in the morning, I got a call but I didn’t pick up. Decided to check the number on this site, really useful by the way. It’s crazy how some folks have the nerve to try and cheat others out of their hard-earned money, makes you wonder how they live with themselves!

I received a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC about some fraud case linked to me. The message told me to press 1 or else "you will be arrested soon". The number they called from was kinda close to the real one for the HMRC tax folks, which is 0300 200 3410. I'm thinking about ringing the official number just to make sure it's not a scam.

They claimed to be from HMRC and said I'd got a fraud case open against me. I got the same call last year, they wanted a load of cash or else I’d be taken to court. This time as soon as they said HMRC I just hung up straight away and blocked the number.

This morning at 9.49am I got a ring from 03002003420. The caller claimed to be from HMRC, saying I had some fraud trouble and that there was a warrant out for me. They told me to press a button which I did, then I got put through to a bloke who actually knew my name and where I live. When he asked me to confirm my address, I told him to say it first, which he managed to do. After that, he went on about whether I had a lawyer or not and other stuff. I gave him a reply he clearly didn’t like, cos he got really rude and just hung up on me.

This number just called me claiming there was some fraud linked to my details. I remembered hearing from "Which" that HMRC never rings people randomly like this, so I ended the call straight away. I’m going to report it and just block the number from now on.

Just like all the other calls, it was supposedly from HM Customs. They said press 1 to talk to an officer about a fraud warrant or arrest. Thing is, I haven't been working for four years. They claimed I owed £2561 in unpaid taxes. When I told them I’ve been battling cancer since 2014 and haven’t worked, they suddenly lost all interest and rushed to hang up. Said it must have been some kind of mistake. Highly doubtful.

This number rang me claiming to be from HMRC, saying there was some fraud issue and I'd be arrested soon unless I pressed one. I didn't press anything and the call just ended after a short while. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC and saying I was under investigation for tax fraud, but it was totally fake. I rang the actual tax office straight away to let them know, and apparently these scams are quite common. The numbers are very alike too - HMRC’s real number is 0300 200 3410, not 0300 200 3420 that they were using. Stay alert, folks!

Just like all those other calls, it was supposedly from UK customs. They told me to press 1 to speak to someone or face arrest for fraud. Thing is, I haven’t had a job in 4 years. They said I owed £2561 in unpaid taxes. When I explained I’ve been battling cancer since 2014 and haven’t worked, they suddenly wanted to hang up sharpish. Said it must be a misunderstanding or some error. Sure, whatever you say.

yesterday i got a call claiming to be from hmrc saying i owed a huge sum and would be arrested if i didn’t pay right away. i hung up straight away and put the number on my block list. then this morning, the same number rang me again but i ignored it and cut the call off before i even picked up, blocked them again. these scammers are just plain criminals, and it scares me thinking about how some older or vulnerable folk might actually believe them and end up handing over cash. it’s really wrong.

Got a voicemail from this number, claiming to be from HMRC and telling me there’s a fraud case open against me. They said to hit 1 to speak to someone from HMRC, but warned that if I didn’t, I’d be arrested soon. What’s worrying is this number looks almost identical to the genuine HMRC Corporation Tax line, which is 0300 200 3410 - found that on the official HMRC site. I’m thinking of ringing the real number just to be sure. - Caller claimed to be HMRC

Just had a call from 03002003420 telling me, on an automated message, that there’s a warrant for my arrest because of tax fraud. They told me to press one, which I did, and then some woman claiming to be a police officer named Caira started talking. She even gave a badge number or something. Total scam - don’t answer or hand over any details. Also, watch out, they slap you with a reverse charge on your phone bill! Proper dodgy.
