I got a call yesterday and it was definitely a scam.

This number rang me the other day and when I picked up it was an answer machine saying to press 1 to talk to someone about fraud investigation. I pressed the button and ended up with a bloke with a strong foreign accent who didn’t know who I was. He kept asking if I had a job but there was loads of noise in the background. I told him to ring me later, but then he phoned me back from another number. It was a pretty weird call so I just ended the call before it got too strange.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from JRC, saying I was involved in tax fraud and if I didn’t press 1 to connect, they'd send out an arrest warrant. I didn’t respond at all. This has gotta be looked into by the police - it’s a terrifying message especially for people who might be more at risk. Caller didn’t pick up when I tried to call back.

Got a call from a robotic voice claiming I was caught up in some HMRC tax scam, telling me to hit 1 to continue. Just blocked the number straight away.
