Received a call from this number, and it was an answerphone message about pressing 1 to discuss a fraud investigation. When I pressed the button, I ended up speaking with a chap who sounded foreign. He didn’t even know my name and was prattling on about my employment. There was a right racket in the background, too. I asked him to ring me back, and then he rang from a different number. The whole situation felt rather odd, so I cut the conversation short before it escalated.

I didn't pick up the call, but I truly think the authorities ought to look into this - it’s quite a daunting scenario, especially for those who might be more susceptible to such threats.
