Got a call from this number today, they told me I had a warrant out for tax fraud. But it was a bank holiday and hmrc don’t work then, so that was a massive red flag. I’ve never had any run-ins with the law and I’m pretty sure I pay all my taxes on time. Totally fishy if you ask me.

I got a call from this number earlier today claiming I had a warrant out for tax fraud. Since it's a bank holiday and HMRC offices are closed, that seemed really suspicious straight away. I've never been in trouble with the law and always make sure my taxes are paid, so this just felt like a scam to me.

Had a recorded message warning me I'd be arrested for not paying taxes unless I hit 1 to sort it out. I sent the details over to the phishing email at HMRC straight away.
