I got a call from an automated voice claiming HMRC was pressing fraud charges against me, threatening arrest if I didn't respond. Then they connected me to someone who spoke with a strange foreign accent and asked for my name. I wouldn’t give it, telling them they could track me through my phone number anyway. They kept warning me this wasn’t a joke and that ignoring it was risky. When I asked how I knew it was real, they said I could just hang up if I didn’t trust them. So, I ended the call and immediately blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying I’m involved in a tax fraud case - complete scam! Best thing is to just ignore the call and block the number straight away. Don’t even bother answering!
