Got a robocall from someone claiming to be HMRC, warning me about penalties if I didn’t pay them money right then. Total scam, don’t be fooled by that!

SCAM ALERT! Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, saying there’s been fraud on my name. They told me to press 1 to get the info or else they'd take legal action and said arrest was on the way. I’m guessing they want all my personal info so they can scam me, or maybe it’s one of those reverse charge things, or even just to mark my number as ‘live’ so they can keep bugging me. Got a call from some robotic voice saying it was about tax fraud. They told me I'd get arrested if I didn’t press 1 right away. Sounded like a total scam to me.

Someone rang me up claiming there was some dodgy business going on with customs and said it was from HMRC.
