Heads up, it’s a scam! They pretend to be from HMRC saying you’ve paid them or else you’ll be in trouble with the law. Honestly, the best thing to do is just hang up and block the number straight away. Don’t get caught out!

If I don't pay them, they said I’ll end up in jail.

Got a recorded message saying they were from HMRC. It threatened me with prosecution and an arrest warrant if I didn’t pay up straight away. No way to get in touch or ask questions, just a cold demand. Pretty scary, but obviously a scam.
