Received a dodgy call supposedly from HMRC today. They claimed I was under scrutiny for fraud and hinted I could settle the matter right then and there, or face court and hefty fines. I mentioned that I already settle my HMRC dues monthly and asked if I could use those details for the payment. That’s when he abruptly ended the call. Honestly, it's despicable what these scoundrels will do!

They didn’t utter a word, but I could definitely sense they were putting me through to a recorded message. What a cheek!

I received a rather alarming call from this number earlier. It was a robotic male voice claiming to be from HMRC, informing me that I needed to press 1 to speak with someone regarding my case, or I risked getting a warrant out for my arrest. I chose to hang up without engaging further and promptly blocked the number. Cheers, JW

I received a rather alarming call that warned if I didn't press 1, a warrant for my arrest would be issued. Naturally, I hung up in a panic and attempted to return the call, only to discover the number was apparently no longer in service. Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me!
