I received a dubious call that left me rather unsettled. They left a voicemail threatening that I would be arrested unless I dialled 1. Quite the nonsense, if you ask me!

Back in the day, I was employed by a firm named Pearson Vue that handled the Driving Theory Test, and this was their contact number. I decided to look it up on a whim. It baffles me how they can claim to represent HMRC unless this number is somehow associated with them.

Just got a call from the DVLA’s driving standards agency. Seemed like a legit number to me.

We don’t answer calls from numbers we don’t know and if they don’t leave a message, they get ignored. Looks like this number, especially the one that ends with 1572, has rung me before too and got blocked straight away after no message was left. I’ll be blocking this one as well based on what others have said.

This number is definitely important, but honestly their service leaves a lot to be desired. Took ages just to get through on the phone.

Had a call from 03002001122 but I don't pick up if I don’t know the number. When are the authorities going to sort these nasty scammers out? Really relieved I found this site to look it up. Think about the old or vulnerable folks getting these calls - it’s really worrying. Keep safe everyone and look after yourselves.

Got a missed call from this number but no voicemail or anything left. From what I’ve seen before, it looks like it’s probably a scam. I’d recommend just blocking it straight away.

Got two calls in just a couple days, one on my home phone and the other on my mobile. The message on my landline was some total nonsense about pressing 1 or facing arrest. I’m in my seventies and they label me a “vulnerable” senior, but it’s just rubbish.

I got a call from this number, but before that, a similar one ending in 1572 rang me as well. They said they were from HMRC and threatened me with court action if I don’t settle a £600 charge. Total nonsense!

Got two calls just one after the other from what looked like the 'Driver and Vehicle Support Agency'. Odd thing is, I’ve never had a car, not once. They told me to book a slot on my laptop or something. Didn’t bother answering after that, straight to block!

Pretty much the same story as loads of others here. Got a call from this number yesterday but didn’t pick up. Just checked the voicemail and it was some bloke saying if I don’t press 1 I’m getting a warrant and getting nicked soon 😂😂 Not falling for that, straight onto the blocked numbers!

I received a rather alarming call from this number, which turned out to be an automated message claiming that I was committing tax fraud. They prompted me to press one, warning that failure to do so would result in an arrest warrant being issued right away. After delivering this dubious threat, they simply cut off the line, and now I find myself unable to return the call. The number in question is 0300 2001123. How bizarre!

The number is definitely tied to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, but it’s got nothing to do with those voicemails you’re getting. Don’t bother ringing back unless you’re trying to book a driving test.

I just found a voicemail on my answering machine saying pretty much the same thing as what others have shared - that I had to press 1 to speak to an HMRC officer, otherwise they’d issue a warrant and I’d be arrested soon. It’s really scary, especially for older folks. This kind of thing should be looked into and put a stop to straightaway. Please make sure to tell others about this right away!
