7 yearsThis number called me, claiming there was some scam involving HMRC and asked me to press 1. I did, then a lady came on saying she had my file and wanted me to verify the last 4 digits of my NI number. I told her I wasn’t sure this was legit, and she said she wasn’t there to prove anything. So I flipped it and asked her what the last digits of my NI were - she just ended the call right there.HMRCNational InsuranceSubmit Your Own Report (0300 200 1069)
