Got a call claiming to be from HMRC threatening to arrest me if I didn’t press 1 and call back - total scam. Honestly, it’s a bit daft, like they think we’re all gullible. For starters, HMRC doesn’t even operate on bank holidays! Also, if I was truly guilty of anything dodgy, why would they bother phoning me first and giving me a chance to run off abroad? If it was such a big deal, they’d have just arrested me already, I wouldn’t be getting calls like this.

Got a robocall, complete muppets! Saying I'd be nicked for tax dodging unless I hit a button. Total nonsense!

Thousands of numbers are getting blocked, so just keep sending reports to [email protected]. The more people report, the more they can stop them.

Got a voicemail that supposedly was from HMRC, saying there’s been some fraud case linked to me. They said if I didn’t hit 7 and reply right away, I’d end up getting arrested. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.
