I got a call claiming they were from HMRC, saying I was being looked into for fraud. They told me if I didn’t press 1 right away, they’d have a warrant out to arrest me.

So I got a call telling me to press 1 because apparently I have done tax fraud, and if I didn’t press 1, the police would come and arrest me! It was some automated voice and the call only lasted about half a minute. I just hung up straight away, but I can imagine how frightening that would be for someone who’s more vulnerable. I have reported it to HMRC already.

got a recorded message from someone saying they're from hmrc, said there's some kind of fraud case against me. they warned me that if i didn't hit 1, they'd send out an arrest warrant for me! totally dodgy, don't trust these calls!
