I received a rather alarming call claiming I owe upwards of £450, threatening that my bank account would be frozen, I’d face arrest, and they'd seize my vehicle! When I queried how they could take such drastic measures considering I’m on benefits, they just kept insisting I had to cough up the cash to avoid an arrest warrant. Despite my persistent questions, seeking clarity on their claims, the individual on the other end eventually just said “fine” and simply terminated the call! Quite suspicious if you ask me!

I received an automated call purporting to be from HMRC, stating that there’s some fraudulent activity linked to my name. They were rather intimidating, suggesting that I could face arrest.

Just had a run-in with what seems to be a dodgy HMRC con artist trying to siphon off some cash. Stay alert!
