Received a rather concerning robocall today, claiming I needed to press 1 immediately, or a warrant would be issued for my arrest related to tax evasion. They identified themselves as HMRC. Quite alarming, isn’t it?

Beware - this is a scam! Do not pick up the call. It’s a pre-recorded message claiming there's an investigation into your taxes by HMRC and instructs you to 'press one' to supposedly connect with an officer. Just ignore it!

I've received a call myself from this number, 0300 200 0072. They claim to be from Customs and Revenue, and it’s a right laugh! They told me if I didn’t press 1, they’d pop round and arrest me. Good luck with that! - Caller: Customs & Revenue.

Received a rather dodgy automated call claiming there’s a warrant out for my arrest and urging me to press 1. It’s definitely a scam - I've encountered the same nonsense from another number previously. Best just to hang up! - caller: HMRC con artist
