The number belongs to Galw Gofal, which is run by Conwy County Council. They use it to get in touch with people using their telecare service and in emergencies outside normal hours. They don't use this number for selling anything, and they won't ask for any of your personal details. So if you get a call from this number, it's legit and not a sales call.

SCAM Alert! I got called twice by unknown numbers, never picked up and the calls were super short like 15-17 seconds, yet BT still charged me for them! These calls were entirely unwanted and I never made them. Saw loads of similar bad reviews too. Seriously, watch out for these scam calls!

My mum got one of those emergency wristbands not long ago, and apparently, you can get them to adjust how sensitive it is. It’s meant to ring through if the person wearing it needs help. Pretty handy for peace of mind.

At the time I got the call, my uncle was having a visit from a council worker who was checking his emergency wristband. He lives in Conwy, North Wales. I reckon this number belongs to some local telecare service, not an emergency line.

On 9th October 2023, my 99-year-old uncle was bombarded with 14 calls in just one day. He was dealing with Shell Energy’s specialist team, something called G21, when it happened.

I never even dialled this number, yet Sky Mobile decided to charge me for it. Feels like a proper scam to me.

For the past nine months, my elderly mum has been getting charged just for picking up this number. It's been happening every time she answers the phone.

This firm keeps ringing me up and it’s starting to really bug me since I’m getting hit on my Sky bill for those calls. The worst part is they never bother leaving a message, so I’m stuck wondering who it might be. Just last month I got called 5 times from them! Is there any way to sort this out?

I've been seeing this number pop up on my BT statement, with each ring costing me about 10p. Bit annoying how it all stacks up over time.

An older customer dropped by and I quickly realised it was a scam. Always double-check your direct debit statements! The bill shot up to £168 because of a bunch of calls, each about 19 seconds long, spread out over a few hours. Got in touch with the broadband provider and luckily they removed the scam charges from the TalkTalk account. The number calling was 03001237789.

Got a weird thing on my Sky Talk bill - it says I rang this number 32 times in June! All the calls were like clockwork, every 3 hours, and each one lasted 19 seconds exactly. I called Sky’s support but they haven’t any clue who it is and said they’ve never seen this kind of thing. They’re sending an engineer over to check what’s going on. - caller: 03001237789
