Phone number ☎️ 03000588993 👆 is reported as a persistent and aggressive scam targeting UK residents, where callers impersonate HMRC officials issuing fake arrest warrants for alleged tax fraud. These calls frequently use prerecorded messages or live callers with foreign accents, often pressuring victims to urgently pay substantial sums via prepaid cards or unusual methods. Callers may provide false case and warrant numbers, demand personal and banking details, and threaten immediate legal action or asset seizure. Genuine HMRC communications never employ such tactics and typically contact via official letters or secure online messages. Recipients are strongly advised not to engage, avoid pressing keys, and block these numbers. Awareness and caution are crucial, as scammers exploit fear and urgency to defraud people of money or sensitive information.

Received a rather alarming automated message claiming to be from HMRC. It was a rather menacing voicemail suggesting there was an arrest warrant out in my name concerning alleged tax fraud, and that I supposedly owed upwards of £2000! I've promptly blocked the number.

They rang me up threatening that I’d be arrested shortly. When I tried ringing them back, the line was completely dead. After seeing other comments about similar numbers being dodgy, I figured it’s a scam and went ahead and blocked it.

Had a call from this number earlier, and I’m pretty sure it’s dodgy. Some bloke with an Asian accent was trying to get my address. As soon as I said no, they just ended the call. Total scam if you ask me.

Somebody rang up pretending to be from HMRC, saying they were gonna put a warrant out to arrest me. These sorts of calls should really get the police involved!

Just to warn everyone, there's a scam going around where you get an automated call claiming HMRC is suing you. They ask you to press one so you can talk to someone about paying them. This isn’t legit at all, so don’t engage and hang up right away.

Got a voicemail from HMRC accusing me of tax fraud, sounded all pre recorded. As soon as I heard that, I hung up and blocked the number. HMRC doesn’t get in touch like that, so watch out!

Got a call from HMRC warning me I'd be nicked if I didn't give them my bank and address info. I ended up handing it over, and well, no arrest so far.

If you get a call with a robotic lady speaking in an Indian accent, it’s definitely not from any UK Government department. Sounds like one of those dodgy scam calls pretending to be HMRC or just a random cold call trying to pull a fast one!

Apparently, there’s an arrest warrant out for me. I was told I’d be held in custody until I could show evidence in court that says otherwise, just so I could find a proper lawyer to defend me.

I got a call on my landline from someone pretending to be from HMRC, but it was clearly a scam. These dodgy callers try to trick you into giving away personal info or cash. Just be careful when you get unexpected calls like that!

I got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent, claiming he was from HM Revenue and Customs. I told him right away I suspected it was one of those scams. He got proper annoyed after that. When I mentioned I'd looked up the number and it showed as dodgy, he started calling me dumb and threatened to send the cops round to arrest me. Honestly, such a nasty experience.

Got a ring from these numbers 0300 058 8993 and 0300 200 5386 today. They claimed to be from HMRC and said I was involved in some income tax fraud. They told me to grab £1427.00 from my bank and put it into a BIT machine. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

My wife got a call from one of those automated voices telling her she was gonna be arrested for not paying her taxes. They said they were from HMRC and she had to pay £1,700 immediately over the phone or the cops would be there within the hour. Absolute rubbish and total scam, watch out for these fraudsters!

I reckon this is a classic scam number. They ring up but stay dead quiet and never bother leaving any messages. Pretty standard for these dodgy callers. I’m sure their next trick will be pretending to be from HMRC, or saying I’ve won some lottery, or maybe claiming they’re from a claims firm or even BT. This is how these scams usually go. Watch out and be careful if you get a call from this one!

Got a call from 03000588993, a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from HMRC. She told me I owed £1600 for tax evasion and fraud and gave me her name as Cera Brown along with a badge number, case number, and even an arrest warrant. When I said I couldn’t pay, she said she’d put me through to her senior, but then the call just dropped. Definitely sounded like a scam.

Got a call just before I was heading to work from a bloke with some weird accent claiming to be from hmr&c or something. He told me I owed £1600 for tax fraud and said an English name but sounded nothing like one. He even said I shouldn’t bother going to work because I might get arrested. I hung up, but he kept ringing back a few times afterwards. Proper rude lad.

I just got a call from 03000588993 and a couple of other numbers right after I finished the call. The guy, who had an Indian accent and said his name was Nate Shaw, kept yelling about some tax evasion thing and claimed I owed nearly £2000. He was really aggressive on the phone, which was pretty shocking! 😳😳

Been getting loads of calls from these fake HMRC people, looks like a scam run by some gang in India pretending to be from the UK using cloned numbers. Real HMRC never calls you out of the blue, they’ll only send letters or emails. If you get one of these calls, just hang up straight away and definitely don’t press any buttons.

So, got a call on the Bank Holiday telling me I owe £1500 to HMRC and if I don’t pay up, I’m getting arrested or taken to court. They said everything’s recorded and wanted to clear me of tax fraud. Then they rang me from another number and told me to Google HMRC’s number to prove it was legit. The thing is, I just got a refund from Revenue for overpaid tax and I always check my account online. Surely if there was an issue, they'd contact me properly instead of threatening me with 'press 1 or be arrested'? Seems off to me.
