I recently received a rather suspicious letter in the mail, featuring this phone number urging me to get in touch regarding dealings with HMRC and Lloyds Bank. The correspondence claimed that there was a tax overpayment with my name on it, and that my bank had declined a request to refund the said amount. I strongly believe this is nothing but a scam, so I’d recommend steering clear of it altogether.

I received a call from my bank regarding some correspondence they’d received from HMRC, and they provided me with this number to follow up. However, when I dialled it, the operator informed me that the number was non-existent! Quite baffling, to say the least!
