I got a rather dubious call from the number 03000512397, claiming to be from HMRC, stating that they owe me £35 due to an error on their part. I told the Scottish lady on the line that it might be advisable for her to drop me an email with the details to back up her claim. However, I'm still yet to receive anything from them! The call came through at 19:00, which feels like an odd hour to be receiving such inquiries, doesn’t it?
