So this number actually belongs to the National Cyber Security Centre, part of GCHQ. Seems like some fool, maybe from somewhere in Asia, is spoofing their number and spamcalling loads of phones across the UK. It showed up as an international caller for me, but when I picked up, the call just cut off. I’m guessing it was some automated system meant to hassle people by showing that number, hanging up as soon as anyone answered. I decided to get in touch with GCHQ and they told me they know about it and have contacted BT to sort it out.

They said they were from BT, my internet provider, but I called BT directly and they told me it’s probably a scam since they don’t do cold calls like that. Seems dodgy to me.

I got a call from this number but I couldn't pick up. Later I looked it up and it said something about GCHQ. When I tried calling back, it was indeed from GCHQ but they wouldn't confirm if they were the ones who rang me. They mentioned a few others have been phoning in with questions like mine too.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming they were from BT, saying my internet was hacked or something. They didn’t give me much info but asked me to open my laptop and probably install some program so they could get in remotely. I just told them thanks for the "help" and that I’d speak to BT myself.

I got a call from 03000200964 on my landline and it was a recorded voice of a bloke claiming to be from BT. He said there was a problem and to stay on the line to chat with someone who could fix it. Didn’t trust it, so I just ended the call.
