Just got a ring from this number, and from what I’ve seen on here before, it looks like it’s the Terence Higgins Trust. I couldn’t pick up, and they didn’t leave any voicemail either. Funny thing is, I emailed them yesterday telling them not to call me anymore.

they keep ringing me non stop. if i dont recognise the number i just dont pick up. these lot ring me like 2 times every day, without fail. im gonna have to block em soon. maybe its one of those charities i once said id support, but i clearly ticked the box to not get calls when i signed up.

I hit the support button on Facebook not thinking I'd start getting calls begging for donations. Feels a bit underhand to me. Not something I’m keen on at all.

So someone called me a few times and I finally picked up, turns out it was a charity fundraiser for the Terrance Higgins Trust. I think I clicked on some free offer on facebook by mistake, and then they got in touch asking if I wanted to contribute. Bit relieved to figure out who it was after missing their calls.

I usually just ignore calls from numbers that I don’t recognise, so no clue who it could be.

I got a call the other day from someone claiming to be supporter care for a charity I’d signed up to help. If you’ve just committed to backing a charity, it’s probably worth picking up because they tend to ring again. But if you never gave permission, you can just let them know when they call.

So this number showed up on my phone, looked like it was some fundraising from Friends of the Earth or something. I ignored the call at first, but I rang back later and got a voicemail that confirmed it was definitely them. Bit annoying but at least it was legit.
