Some woman rang me claiming that someone in China was meddling with my internet data. She told me to grab my laptop so she could fix it. From the very beginning, I could tell it was a total scam. I told her straight up that what she was doing was disgusting and trying to con folks out of their hard-earned money was shameful. She just hung up on me. Honestly, don’t ever trust these calls or share your info with them.

some bloke said he was calling from bt's security team about issues with my internet. tried calling the number back but no one picks up.

Watch out, it’s a BT scam for sure. They keep ringing from different numbers but use the exact same spiel every time. What’s worrying is this call came from a Cardiff area code, not the usual numbers these frauds use, so it’s harder to spot it as a scam straight away.

Some bloke called saying he was from BT's security team, said there was an issue with my internet. He actually knew my name and address which was creepy, but as soon as I started asking questions, he just ended the call. The caller sounded like he was from abroad and he called me Harry for some reason.
