On the 7th of January 2015, I got a call around 10:25 from someone saying my PC was infected with a virus. The bloke wasn’t exactly the sharpest, ‘cause when I asked if he was the one who put the virus there, he actually said "yeah". I asked for his info to report him to the cops, and instead of giving me anything, he called me something like “a motherfudder”. I didn’t bother staying on the line after that and just hung up.

We got called back to back by Mark just now. He kept ringing up about our computer, but when we asked what was wrong, he didn’t really say and we ended the call.

Beware, this is a con artist attempting to hijack your computer with a remote access tool called Ammy Admin.
Don’t follow any instructions from them - they’re crooks targeting people who aren’t so tech-savvy. They deserve to be exposed and dealt with properly!
The caller pretends to be from the "IT Department" and speaks with an American/Asian-sounding accent.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent. When I put the phone down, I had a quick look online for scam calls. Sure enough, his number was already listed on one of those sites. Honestly, who do they think they're fooling?

Got a call earlier from someone saying, "Hi, this is Mark... how are you?" I asked them who they were, but they just hung up right after I spoke. Quite strange!

Had a really rubbish call from these muppets, I told them I worked for a company and to stop bothering me, so I ended the call. Then they rang back twice and started shouting that I was a bloody daft woman over and over. I wasn’t having any of it and threw some proper insults back at them, told them to do one and multiply.

Got a call from someone with a really strong Indian accent claiming to be from Global Technical Support. He said he knew I was having issues with my PC, but I knew instantly it was a con. I decided to humour him for a bit until he told me to turn on my computer and put in my password. At that point, I just chuckled, told him I don’t even own a computer, and nicely asked him to get lost!

I’ve been through pretty much the same thing, only they kept ringing my missus while I was out. It was a bloke with an Indian accent who sounded quite convincing at first, but all he did was talk vaguely about calling from Global Technical Support and said there was some kind of virus on my Windows PC (fair enough, they nailed that part). But when I kept asking for more details about who he was and what company he actually worked for, he just wouldn’t give a straight answer. Really dodgy.

So this number just called me, some bloke with an Indian accent saying there was an issue with my PC. I figured it was a scam right away. Told him, "How do you even know what kind of computer I’ve got?" When I kept grilling him for an explanation, he just ended the call on me! Bit gutted, I was keen to give him a proper piece of my mind.

This is just a huge con to take your money, they need to be stopped right now.

They tried to get into my computer, but as soon as I ended the call, they called back. This time, I just told them firmly to buzz off.

Got a call from someone wanting to chat with Mrs Turner, but that’s not me at all. When I asked who was calling and said I don’t take unsolicited calls, the bloke started calling me all sorts of names, like son of a [***], twice over before hanging up. Proper rude!

Really odd phone call I got, the person on the line was asking loads of stuff about my computer.

I got a call from a woman with an accent that sounded like she was from the Indian subcontinent. She claimed my computer was running really slow, even though it was clearly connected to the internet. I played along, knowing full well it was a scam and she was likely trying to get remote access. When she asked which browser I was using, I said Safari. She immediately guessed I was on a Mac and just ended the call then and there.

My computer's been really sluggish lately, and I'm seeking some guidance to sort it out. Just had a chat with a bloke with an Indian accent about it.
