I got a call from this number claiming to be Welsh Water wanting to swap out my lead pipes for plastic ones. Seems dodgy if you ask me. I'm going to ring up Welsh Water myself to make sure it's legit.

I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. But after reading the reviews here, I decided to ignore it and now it’s blocked. Cheers to everyone for the helpful info!

This number seems dodgy to me. I phoned it back and after a while a bloke picked up. He was talking really fast and it felt like he wasn’t trying to be clear about who he was. You’d think when you call someone, they want to be understood, but this guy clearly didn't. Seems like it’s one of those scam calls for sure.
