He claimed to be a representative from EE, proposing a phone upgrade. When I mentioned that I wasn’t actually signed up with EE, he ended the call right away without another word.

They seemed to know my actual name, yet I’m not affiliated with EE at all. I don’t have any agreements with a mobile provider. Instead, they proposed an upgrade for a contract that I don’t even have. Quite peculiar, really!
