At that point, I had to cut the conversation short, as I was busy at work. The caller suggested ringing back at a more convenient time, but when I mentioned after 6pm, she let slip that they close at 5.30pm. I then firmly stated that I would rather reach out to Standard Life directly to inquire about any potential problems with my insurance, and promptly ended the discussion.
