2 yearsThis bloke was proper pushy, going on about me having TV breakdown insurance with Sky Maintenance, something I never signed up for! He claimed I set it up two years back and that the payments of £12 a month come out of my debit Visa card. Said it’s about to run out soon. Couldn’t shake him off until I threatened to hang up, then he just cut me off. If this had been an older, more vulnerable person, I reckon they’d have given in to his pressure.Sky Maintenance2 yearsGot calls again from someone claiming to be about my Sky maintenance renewal. Thing is, I’ve never even had a contract with them! I keep telling them to stop, but they just keep ringing, sometimes twice daily. Proper annoying if you ask me.Sky2 yearsSomebody rang me saying they were from Sky insurance and said my policy was up for renewal. I told them I’d check with Sky myself. Then they said it wasn’t with Sky at all. I just said I wasn’t interested and hung up.Sky2 yearsThe phone just buzzed once and the person hung up straight away.2 yearsGot a call from an Asian guy insisting my TV required replacing. I told him I had no clue what he was on about and that it was a random, unwelcome call before hanging up straight away.2 yearsA bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was "Peter" rang me up claiming I owed money for another year on my TV service contract, threatening to charge my debit card a penalty if I cancelled early. I played along for a good six minutes, letting him go on with his dodgy pitch before telling him he’d got the wrong person - I’m not the Mr Oliver he was after and he wasn't getting a penny from me. Once he twigged I was just messing him about, he promptly hung up.PeterOliver2 yearsGot a call from someone threatening me and my family, demanding card info or else they would harm us. Proper scary stuff. Tried to get help from the police but feels like they can’t do much about it. Honestly, this is like the fifth dodgy or fishy call I’ve gotten today!2 yearsI had this really angry bloke call me up, threatening I'd get stung with loads of cancellation charges if I didn’t hand over my card info to keep the Sky maintenance plan going. Honestly, the guy was just awful!Sky2 yearsJust like a few others have said, this bloke claimed to be from Sky Maintenance saying I needed to pay some dues. I told him I’m not covered for maintenance, but he insisted I’d paid last year. I said he’s got the wrong person and he then mentioned a name I’ve never heard of. Told him that’s not me. He was quite polite about it and said sorry for the bother before hanging up. Pretty sure it’s a scam though.Sky Maintenance2 yearsGot a call about "renewing my TV insurance," which was odd since I've never signed up for any kind of TV coverage. I looked up the firm, Sky Assurance at 9a Porters Avenue in Dagenham, and turns out it's just a dormant electronics business with only £1 in assets. Needless to say, I didn’t help boost their finances one bit, and they ended up ending the call.Sky AssurancePorters AvenueDagenham2 yearsJust got a call saying my insurance for SKY box is about to expire today.
