Got a call from a bloke calling himself “Michael” saying I’d been picked for a phone upgrade with a 40% discount. Didn’t ask for it at all and he was proper pushy, wouldn’t accept me saying no. The number looked like a UK landline but he had a strong Indian accent.

Got a call from a Cardiff number and when I picked up, there was just silence from the other end. Don’t know anyone from Cardiff so I’m just blocking them straight away. Seems like these lot have quite a few Cardiff numbers to bother people with. Definitely not answering again.

I didn't really get what they said, sounded like they weren’t speaking English. All I caught was something about a card number and 13 13, totally clueless about what they wanted.

I rang them back but it was just endless hold music, so I've blocked the number.

So I picked up the phone and as soon as I did, they just ended the call. I tried ringing back but the line said the number doesn’t exist. Seems dodgy to me - why would anyone ring from a number that’s not even real and then drop the call when you pick up? Something fishy’s going on for sure.

They told me I was involved in an accident and insisted I was at fault. Thing is, I haven’t had any accident at all. It’s pretty annoying they managed to get hold of my number like that.

When you finally pick up, it takes them forever to actually start talking. They just leave you hanging right from the first call, and then go ahead and block your number. Proper annoying!
