This caller had an Indian accent and claimed she was ringing about a gadget that could help if I ever fell sick. I was pretty certain it was a con, so I just ignored her and let the phone ring out. I get loads of calls like this, and honestly, I’m kinda considering ditching my landline altogether. You’d think nowadays there’d be some proper method to block all these annoying calls for good.

There were loads of bad reviews for this number when I looked it up, seemed dodgy and possibly a scam. Someone else had already flagged it, so I just blocked it. Cheers for the info!

Total scam alert! Someone rang me saying they had crucial details about my life insurance, but I don’t even have a policy. Then they tried saying it was linked to my mortgage, which I don’t have either. Next, they guessed it might be tied to critical illness cover - again, nothing I’ve signed up for. It’s obvious they’re cold calling without knowing a thing about my insurance. Just blocked the number straight away!

Normally, I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know, figuring if it’s really urgent, they’ll leave me a message. Weirdly though, these jokers didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. After reading what others have said, I’m relieved I ignored it. Honestly, they must believe we’re total mugs! Fingers crossed no one gets caught out by their nonsense.

I got a call from someone trying to pitch me a "better" phone plan than what I already have. They wanted to know who my current provider was, and I just told them to mind their own business. She then got quite pushy, so I told her she needed to take a step back and cool down. After that, she started swearing at me, which was just uncalled for. I told her to sort herself out and ended the call. Needless to say, I’ve now blocked the number.
