Some bloke named William rang me up and kept asking about how old my insulation was. He kept going on about how it needs to be inspected for "safety" every ten years or so. Proper pushy too, said a guy would come round to check the insulation, let me know if it’s safe, and then sort it out if needed. I think you can guess what sort of thing this is. Someone called about a government scheme for loft insulation, saying it needs checking every seven years to meet this green rule. They wanted to send an inspector over. Seriously, don’t they realise we’re still in the middle of a pandemic? I told them we’ve never had any inspection before and said no way would I let some random inspector with sketchy links into my home, so I just said no and ended the call. If loads of folks have issues with this number, why hasn’t it been looked into and blocked? I can only guess the trouble they cause for people who aren’t as cautious.

I got a ring from a woman talking with a strong northeast accent, saying it was about insulation. I told her I'd just had a call from another woman, same accent, about insulation too. When I brought this up, she said it couldn’t be the same firm as theirs had only recently begun calling people around here. Earlier, I’d mentioned the TPS and asked if she was going to hang up on me like the last woman did. Sure enough, she did exactly that!
