Just tried calling that number back thinking it was something else, but it ended up connecting me to Asda Mobile. They told me to avoid picking up calls from that number because if I do, they could get hold of all my personal info.

This number is linked to some dodgy phone billing scam, definitely don’t trust it.

Got an email asking me to change my subscription payment from standing order to direct debit. I looked up the number they gave, and it matches the one on their official site. The emails seem legit and link directly back to the company, so it seems alright.

Didn't pick up since I didn't recognise the number. They didn't bother leaving any voicemail either.

Didn't get any voicemail. If that was from Which, I wonder why they didn’t bother to say hello or leave a note?

I got a call from (029 2267 0000) which turned out to be from Which?, the well-known consumer group. I only rang them myself after they sent me a letter about an issue with paying my yearly subscription. If you're unsure about a call from “Which?”, it’s probably a good idea to ring them back on a different number just to be sure.

I got a rather unwelcome call from an unfamiliar number based in Cardiff. The person on the line had the audacity to say that he was reaching out from some sort of Consumer group concerning an enquiry I supposedly made earlier in the year. It was all complete nonsense. I've since blocked the number!

yep, this number belongs to which? - the consumer group. i missed two calls from them yesterday when i wasn’t home, but there was no voicemail left. then this morning, a woman from which? rang me up and asked if it was alright for a researcher to get in touch regarding an issue i reported a while back. i’m actually a which? member myself.

I gave Which? magazine a ring using the number 029 2267 0000 from their info sheet. But when I hung up, my phone screen showed ‘Hende Building Services Ltd’, which was odd. Hende is a company from Cheadle, Cheshire, and I’ve no clue why their name popped up.

There was a charge on my phone bill for a number I couldn’t place. After reading some earlier posts here, I remembered I’d signed up for a service, so I dug through my receipts. Turns out it matches a time I got in touch with Which? - you know, that consumer group with the magazines and all.

There was a strange number on our phone bill that we had no clue about or why it was there. Big thanks to the person who said it was which? really helped us figure it out!

When I get a cold call, most times they hang up before the voicemail starts, which is pretty handy. If the message does start recording, I listen quick to check if it's someone I actually want to chat with, and if it is, I cut in. Otherwise, I just end the call straight away. Seems like the message thing worked, 'cos I don't get any scam or cold calls anymore.

yeah, that number looks like it belongs to which?, but you gotta watch out because these scammers can fake any phone number nowadays. just cuz it says its which? on your caller ID doesn't mean its really them ringing you. don't trust it blindly.

Honestly, it’s the primary phone line for a consumer watchdog group that checks out products and services, giving you honest reviews, top picks, and warnings about ones to stay away from (and no, I’m not on their payroll). As for Wicks - nice try but no cigar!

I tried ringing them back and it turned out to be from Wicks, but they didn’t leave any voicemail. My daughter has put in an application for a position there, so I guess that’s why they got in touch. Seems harmless to me, nothing dodgy going on.
